Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse osmosis, which is also known by hyper filtration, is the first rate of filtration available today. It is the very common treatment technology estimated by premium bottled water companies. Reverse osmosis touches on to the process of forcing water via a semi-permeable membrane under pressure.
How does Reverse Osmosis work?
A semi permeable membrane is used by the reverse osmosis, allowing pure water to pass across it, while ignoring the contaminants that are too large to pass over the tiny pores in the membrane.
How often does the reverse osmosis membrane need to be replaced?
On the local water quality, it has the dependency. The filter adjusts the time for all filters and the RO membrane may be adjusted to meet the local water conditions. Generally for water with under 300 ppm TDS, the following instructions may be followed:
Pre-filter PP5u: every 3 months
Carbon: each 6 months. (Note: It is salient to change this cartridge each 6 months to avoid chlorine in the feed water form damaging the membrane.)
It is YES or NOT that are all reverse osmosis systems equally effective?
Off course, not.
Do water filters clean out Pesticides as well as herbicides?
Our water filter suppliers keep that the RO membrane will take out a minimum of 96% of organic contaminants as well as chemicals from the water.
